What was the motivation behind starting ACN?

ACN was the vision of four entrepreneurs - Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Tony Cupisz and Mike Cupisz. These Co-Founders had countless years of direct sales experience between them, but were dissatisfied with other companies and job opportunities they had encountered. They realized that the only way to find a company they wanted to be a part of was to create that company.

So with a yellow legal pad in front of them, they formulated a business plan. On one side of the page they wrote down everything that they knew worked well, and on the other side everything that didn’t. They ripped the page in half and only kept the side that contained what would become the governing principles behind ACN - integrity, solid business practices, and a commitment to always putting the needs of the masses above the needs of themselves.

Founded in 1993, ACN was the vision of four entrepreneurs - Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Tony Cupisz and Mike Cupisz. These Co-Founders had countless years of direct sales experience between them, but were dissatisfied with other companies and job opportunities they had encountered. They realised that the only way to find a company they wanted to be a part of was to create that company.

So with a yellow legal pad in front of them, they formulated a business plan. On one side of the page they wrote down everything that they knew worked well, and on the other side everything that didn't. They ripped the page in half and only kept the side that contained what would become the governing principles behind ACN - integrity, solid business practices, and a commitment to always putting the needs of the masses above the needs of themselves.

From that initial paper, a business idea was born that would focus on offering services people need and use every day… services that wouldn’t require anyone to change their buying habits or purchase products they didn’t need or couldn’t afford.

ACN began as a reseller of long distance services in the U.S., but over time has grown to offer all the essential services customers in over 24 countries use on a daily basis. ACN is the world’s largest direct seller of telecommunications, energy and essential services for home and business, but more importantly, they’ve provided a vehicle for countless individuals to change their lives.

With that single column on a legal pad, the ACN Co-Founders drew a proverbial line that would set the bar for what ACN would become - and remain long into the future. And those are the same principles that drive the company today, over two decades later.

ACN began as the vision of four ambitious entrepreneurs from Michigan who came together to form a direct selling company based on solid ethics and a fair compensation plan - important aspects they hadn't found in other companies. It was this dream for something better that led to the start of ACN.

By combining their mutual vision and a focused marketing strategy with a lifetime of network marketing experience, they have grown ACN into what it is today. Today, ACN’s Co-Founders are more actively involved than ever, and each plays a vital role in the management of ACN’s day-to-day business operations worldwide.

ACN President & Co-Founder

Greg Provenzano is President and Co-Founder of ACN Inc., the world’s largest direct selling telecommunications service provider. Greg is a born entrepreneur with a very successful career in business and network marketing – a career over 20 years in the making. He began in the field of network marketing in 1984 on the ground floor of a national company. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Sales Manager, followed by Regional Vice President and then Senior Vice President in 1989. He overrode a large sales organisation, and though he built an extremely successful business, at the end of the day he felt frustrated with the industry and personally unfulfilled. He left that company and sold another business to follow his dream at ACN.

In 1993, Greg Provenzano along with the other Co-Founders formed ACN. Through his leadership, Greg helped grow ACN into the success story it is today, operating in 19 countries on three continents. Today, Greg remains actively involved in the company, and plays a vital role in the management of its day-to-day business operations.

In addition to overseeing the direction of the company, Greg’s role was, and continues to be, the motivator of the distribution force. In fact, Greg’s own personal attention to the company and distribution channel has ensured its continued success. Together with founders Robert Stevanovski, Mike Cupisz and Tony Cupisz, Greg provides ongoing leadership, motivation and training to a sales force of thousands.

Greg Provenzano’s high standards begin with himself. When it comes to work ethic, preparation and the time he puts into his business, he demands more of himself than anyone. As a leader, he is always willing to do more than he expects others to do.

  • Greg Provenzano served as a senior vice president of a national marketing company and led a large sales organization; was responsible for recruiting, training and motivating personnel
  • Left his business in 1992 and was instrumental in the formulation of ACN
  • Works closely with ACN representatives and executive staff

ACN Chairman & Co-Founder

Robert Stevanovski is Co-Founder and Chairman of ACN Inc., the world’s largest direct selling telecommunications service provider. After entering the network marketing arena in the late 1980s, Robert held senior positions with two highly successful marketing companies. These experiences positioned him as one of the driving forces behind the formulation of ACN. Robert has worked hard from the beginning, investing his own time and money to make a name for ACN in this highly competitive field. His leadership training began at a young age as he witnessed his workaholic father run their family’s restaurant business. He learned how to work with employees, vendors and customers – skills he continues to use to this day. He also learned that to be a great leader you must understand the position of those you wish to lead.

With over 20 years experience in the network marketing arena, Robert Stevanovski has become a vital player in managing ACN’s day-to-day business operations, while also playing an integral role in ACN’s product expansion and European operations. In fact, Robert personally spearheaded the building of ACN’s own VoIP network and pushed for the latest technology in video phones. He knows that the days of talking to someone on the phone and not seeing them are coming to an end. In the future, everyone will have a video phone.

In addition to his daily operational duties, Robert is a distinguished ACN Board Member.

His success has not slowed him down but rather encouraged Robert to continually reevaluate himself and his company. He constantly strives to be better and encourages others to work hard in relentless progression toward greater success.
